Project Proposals

The BIA welcomes proposal from its members and the local community.

Requests for project support must provide the following and not be longer than 2 sheets of 8.5 x 11 paper plus images.

1.   Your concept.
2.   Plan of action.
3.   How your project will be promoted.
4.   Benefits to Bloor Street and its store-owners.
5.   Budget.
6.   CV.
7.   Contact information with an e-mail address.

Additionally you must provide or agree to the following:

1. The budget must not request more than 50% of funding from the BIA and a clear description of other secured funding sources must be listed.

2. Projects supported by the BIA should list the BIA as a sponsor.

3. Upon completion a final report needs to be submitted stating how the funds were spent and what was achieved.

4. Any unspent funding must be returned.

5. If you are awarded support and your project’s scope or concept changes please contact us for approval. If the changes in scope or concept are substantially changed we may request the return of funding.

6. All projects must be suitable for general audiences.

The BIA has limited resources so please do not feel we are uninterested if we cannot support your project. Additionally please understand that the BIA budget is set once a year in the fall so funds may not be available.
