BIG on Bloor Festival: Information sheet
For all street festival participants

Schedule
11:00 start street closure and table setup
12:00 street closed tables ready to prepare
1:00 festival starts, stage entertainment starts, children’s activities start
6:00 clearing of tables, dinner preparation begins
6:30 dinner party begins
9:00 all festival activities end, start clearing street and opening
10:00 Bloor Street open to traffic

For existing Bloor Street retail stores
- the activity will all be out on the street, join in by renting a table to sell your wares on the street, sign up online or by mail
- you can also use your own table to sell in front of your business
- no additional permit is required to sell on the street for the festival

Other vendors
- rent a table or more, sign up online or by mail
- get a festival vendors permit from the BIG festival

For existing restaurants
- the activity will be out on the street, join in by renting a table for your customers to eat out on the street, sign up online or by mail
- all food must be prepared in your own restaurant kitchen and either
- sell the food as takeout
- serve the food on outside tables
- if you want to prepare food on the street you will need to obtain a street food permit from Public Health

For existing liquor licences
- a temporary liquor licence extension is required to serve alcohol outside your establishment, contact AGCO
- the area must be adjacent to the licenced establishment and surrounded by a fence
- submit application 30 days before the event, with a drawing of the proposal
- BIG has arranged for the non-objection letter from the city clerk for all the establishments on the street
- BIG has sent the letter of notice to Police, Fire, Public Health and Buildings for all the establishments on the street

Other food vendors
- rent a table or more, sign up online
- a public health permit is required for all food prepared and sold on the street
- bring your own tent, if you have one

Get BIG on Bloor! The BIG Festival is coming to Bloor Street. On Saturday, Jun 21, Bloor Street will be closed from Christie to Lansdowne from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. for the BIG Street Festival. There will be all kinds of activities for all ages, games, music, dancing, demonstrations, arts and crafts vendors, food and drink. At 6:00 we will all gather to make a BIG dinner party. Bring something BIG to the table.

Where: Bloor Street from Christie to Lansdowne
When: Saturday, June 21, 1:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Why: to celebrate the community along this part of Bloor Street

How can you get involved in the BIG Festival? Here are some suggestions
1. volunteer to help, either before the event or on June 21, if you are a student, it will count for your community hours
2. Rent a table to sell your arts and crafts, or even have a garage sale. You can sign up online.
3. Sign up online to perform on one of the festival stages or in one of the many cafes in the area.
4. Make a donation. You can donate online.
5. Come down to Bloor St. on Saturday, June 21, and enjoy the festival
6. Join us on Bloor Street. for the world’s longest dinner party at 6:00 p.m.
7. Invite all your friends!

Christie St., partial closure, local traffic only
Montrose, Ave., west side
Ossington Ave., east and west sides
Dovercourt Rd., east and west sides
Dufferin St., east and west sides
Lansdowne Rd., east side

The following north-south streets will be closed at the alley near Bloor St.
Crawford St., temporary two-way traffic, local traffic only Barton and Harbord St.
Shaw St., temporary two-way traffic, local traffic only at Barton and Harbord St.
Roxton Rd., temporary two-way traffic, local traffic only at Harbord St.
Carling Ave., temporary two-way traffic, local traffic only at Leeds St.
Concord Ave., temporary two-way traffic, local traffic only at Northumberland St. and Hepbourne St.
Delaware Ave., temporary two-way traffic, local traffic only at Northumberland St. and Harbord St.
Westmoreland Ave., temporary two-way traffic, local traffic only at Hallam St.
